It's important to be aware of and have knowledge about the concept of culture when working as a teacher because you can easily project your own culture on to children.
When working in different environments it is easy to compare the new situations with your own culture and it is therefore important to be contiously aware of how, when and why you categorise people.
The challenges within the concept of culture is that all people have a tendency to categorise and generalise people from other cultures. Hereby there's a chance for categorising people and only see the stereotypes you have created in your own head.
It is difficult to say whether or not the concept is useful when we talk about human differences, because culture in some ways define us, and in other does the opposite.
